The University of Tennessee–Knoxville introduced UT Verse, a campuswide ecosystem of agents powered by AI and designed to support students, faculty and staff across a wide range of needs. Acting as a virtual assistant, UT Verse helps users by answering questions, supporting academic research, assisting with coursework and improving administrative workflows. The system also includes a real time translation tool, making it more accessible to a diverse and multilingual campus community. Rather than relying solely on human mediated services, UT Verse represents a shift toward a more proactive and scalable model of engagement – one that meets students where they are and anticipates what they need.
