Who Can Apply: Golf remains a sport where many underrepresented athletes face barriers to entry—not due to a lack of ability, but limited access, exposure, and opportunity. Beyond competition, golf provides meaningful pathways to mentorship, networking, and long-term academic and career advancement.
The Hulede Collegiate Golf Scholarship is committed to expanding access to these opportunities by supporting underrepresented student-athletes who demonstrate excellence in golf, academics, leadership, and community involvement.
Preference will be given to applicants who are currently rostered on NCAA collegiate golf teams or who have formally committed to play collegiate golf.
Eligible applicants include BIPOC high school seniors, undergraduate, or graduate students with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who:
- Are currently playing collegiate golf (NCAA preferred), or
- Have committed to a college to play golf, or
- Actively compete in golf and demonstrate strong academic and extracurricular engagement.
Applicants who are committed to or currently playing collegiate golf should clearly indicate their college or university in their application.
Submission:
1 – Outside of golf and academics, how do you invest your time?
2 – What are you currently studying in college or planning to study in college, and why?
3 – How do you currently give back or plan to give back during college and beyond?
4 – The HCGS supports collegiate golfers through financial assistance and intentional mentorship. How would receiving this scholarship meaningfully impact your collegiate experience-academically, athletically, and personally?
5 – Describe a moment of adversity or uncertainty on or off the course. How did you respond and what did that experience teach you about yourself?
