Who Can Apply:
- Joseph T DeVivo Jr. was a father, son, brother, nephew, and dear friend who sadly passed away after a short illness on 11/6/2024 at the young age of forty-two.
- Joey was immensely loved and was known for being a well-rounded person. He was an artist who drew, made charcoal portraits, shot photography, and wrote thoughtful insights about life. Joey had an amazing heart and was dedicated to helping children and adults with disabilities. He taught children as a special needs educator at Prospect School, and he also worked with adults with disabilities as an art director and direct support professional at Saratoga Bridges. Joey was politically conscious and spoke on his beliefs of equity and equality in all areas of life. A history aficionado from a young age, he enjoyed banter about political landscapes and current events.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Joey DeVivo by supporting students as they pursue their academic dreams.
- Any high school senior in New York who is pursuing special education, art, psychology, or history may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
