Who Can Apply:
- This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Sam Stoy by supporting students who demonstrate leadership and are enthusiastic about making a difference for fellow students.
- Any undergraduate student pursuing the combination welding or maritime combination welding program at “Tidewater Tech-Trades” in Virginia may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have at least a 3.0 GPA and a great attendance record.
Submission: Please explain in 350 words or less why you have chosen to enroll at Tidewater Tech and what interests you about the welding program. Sam Stoy was known as a class leader and always willing to help other students. Give us an example of how you help others either at Tidewater Tech or in other parts of your life. If you volunteer, or teach, or make time to help improve other’s lives, that is what leadership is about. We want to know your story.
