Who Can Apply:
- The St. Peter’s Troop 118 Scouting BSA Scholarship Fund provides an annual scholarship to Boy Scouts who are active in Troop 118 and plan to further their education at a local tuition-based high school in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
The students eligible for assistance shall be graduating eighth graders who will be attending a local tuition-based high school and who are currently participating in Boy Scout Troop 118. - A minimum of one (1) $1,000 scholarship will be offered each year to be paid in full prior to the fall semester to the educational institution in the account of the recipient. This is a one-time scholarship with no option for renewal.
- Applications are due May 3 and formal announcements will be made late May of each year.

- Scouting Experience
- 1. What is current scout rank?
- 2. Total number of merit badges earned.
- 3. Total number of Eagle merit badges earned.
- 4. Troop leadership positions held.
- School and Community Involvement
- List any awards, honors or recognition received.
- List any organizations in which you have been a member. Include duration of time and positions held.
- Which of the above experiences (participation, leadership position or honor received) has been most important to you?
- Why is scouting important to you?
- What is the most important thing you have learned as a boy scout?
- Please give the names, telephone numbers and email addresses of three (3) references, other than members of your family. Indicate their relationship to you as the applicant.
