Annual Essay Scholarship Program:
Amount: $500 – $4,000

Description: The CBAI Foundation for Community Banking provides scholarship funds for top high school seniors statewide. One semi-finalist may be chosen from each of the CBAI groups via an essay-writing contest. We have the ability to award a $1,000 scholarship to a student in 11 of CBAI’s 12 groups along with $500 to a second place person in each group, which assures geographical uniformity of winners. The statewide winner will win $1,000 a year for up to four years of higher education. And, as in previous years, the high school of the overall winner will receive $500. Eligible students are Illinois high-school seniors graduating in the spring and entering an institution of higher education in the summer or fall immediately following. The immediate family members of community bankers and part-time bank employees are not eligible to enter from any CBAI member bank. (The Foundation offers separate scholarships for the children and grandchildren of community bankers associated with eligible banks.) Part-time employees of any CBAI member bank are also ineligible. Scholarship Program for Sons and Daughters of Employees of Roseburg Forest Products:
Amount: $3,000 – $5,000

Description: The Ford Sons and Daughters Program was established in 1995 by Kenneth Ford to encourage Roseburg Forest Products employees’ children to develop their potential through continuing education. Eligible dependents of Roseburg Forest Products employees in the United States who are 21 or younger with the goal of achieving an associate, bachelor’s or technical degree are encouraged to apply. The employee must be full-time and have been employed full time by Roseburg Forest Products for a minimum of 18 months as of March 1 of the application year. Students must attend a federally financial aid-eligible public or private, nonprofit or for-profit higher education institution, and be attending in fall of the application year. Applicants with a felony conviction in their past must have satisfied the terms of the conviction by August 1 of the application year. Awardees attending a two-year college or program full time receive $3,000 each academic year. Awardees attending a four-year college or program full time receive $5,000 each academic year. American Legion Department of Hawaii High School Oratorical Contest:
Amount: $2,000 – $25,000

Description: The American Legion, Department of Hawaii is inviting students to participate in the 2025 American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program, which is “A Constitutional Speech Contest,” to be held on March 15, 2025 at the Oahu Veterans Center. The purpose of the contest is to instill a better knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States in high school students. It also develops leadership qualities, the ability to think and speak clearly and the preparation for acceptance of the duties, responsibilities, and privileges of American citizenship. Young orators earn some of the most generous college scholarships available to high school students. All contestants must be presently enrolled in a high school or junior high school (public, parochial, military, private or home school). The curriculum of the school must be considered to be of high school level, commencing with grade 9 and terminating with grade 12. Students must be enrolled in high school or junior high school during the time of participation at any level of The American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest. Contestants must either be legally domiciled within or attend an educational institution within the department that they enter competition. High school students that graduate early during the school year are eligible to compete if they are not enrolled in a college, university, trade school or other institution of higher learning at the time of the department finals contest. To qualify for the National Contest, the contestant must first participate in the State of Hawaii contest. CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year:
Amount: $1,500 – $10,000

Description: The CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year award recognizes college-bound high school seniors whose academic and athletic careers have been truly exemplary and whose personal standards and accomplishments are a positive model for others. Two State winners (1 male and 1 female) will each receive a $10,000 scholarship. Additionally, 20 Section winners will be awarded $1,500 (one male and one female in each Section). Washington State Parent Teacher Association Scholarship Program:

Description: Washington State PTA (WSPTA) offers scholarships to graduating seniors from Washington state public high schools with an active PTA, who will be starting college in the fall. Upon receiving proof of acceptance to college, WSPTA will issue a check to the school the recipient will be attending. At least three volunteer activities are required. Even if students have not decided on which specific college they will be attending, they are still encouraged to apply. Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship:

Description: The purpose of the Felicia Brewer Opportunity Scholarship is to create a life-transforming opportunity for immigrant or first generation students who have overcome significant adversity, giving them the opportunity to pursue their dreams and improve their lives through education or training. This scholarship is restricted to current students or alumni of a Chapel Hill-Carrboro City High School. They must plan to or are currently pursuing 2- or 4-year undergraduate degrees. Jason & Jessica Evans Memorial Scholarship:

Description: The Jason and Jessica Evans Memorial Scholarship is intended to honor the lives of Jason Evans and Jessica Evans by inspiring and supporting students who exemplify the academic and personal excellence that Jason and Jessica demonstrated during their young lives. Recipients are selected based on community or extracurricular involvement, academic merit, potential for success, and financial need. Payments are made annually for up to four years. Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund Scholarship Program:
Amount: $1,000 – $5,000
Closing Date: March 13, 2026
Description: Scholarships will be awarded for one year of academic study at an accredited college or university. The scholarship is not renewable, however, applicants may apply every year they are eligible, whether or not they have received an award in the past. The majority of scholarships are awarded for undergraduate study, with occasional awards for graduate study. Applicants may be (A) full- or part-time permanent civilian federal or postal employees; (B) children or legal dependents of full- or part-time permanent federal civilian or postal employees; (C) spouses of full- or part-time permanent civilian federal or postal employees; (D) grandchildren of Blacks in Government (BIG) federal employee members, American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) members, or Professional Managers Association (PMA) members; (E) or children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of current members of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE). NARFE applicants must be high school seniors only. Children, grandchildren, dependents, or spouses applying for support must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in their academic program. Engineering and Construction Contracting Association Scholarship:
Amount: $2,000 – $5,000

Description: Engineering and Construction Contracting (ECC) Association has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational-technical school programs. Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates, or current college undergraduate freshman planning to enroll at an accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year. Applicants must be pursuing a degree or certification in Engineering, Construction Management, or any of the eligible skilled trades or crafts. American Legion Auxiliary Department of Michigan Scholarship for Non-Traditional Student:
Amount: $500 – $1,000

Description: The American Legion Auxiliary Department of Michigan Scholarship for Non-Traditional Student will be awarded to those who must be a descendent of a veteran. Applicant must meet one of the following: (A) A non-traditional student returning to the classroom after some period of time in which her/his education was interrupted. A student will only be considered if this is the first time “returning” after an interruption; (B) A student over the age of twenty-two attending college for the first time pursuing a degree; or (C) A student over the age of twenty-two attending a vocational or trade school. AMS Freshman Undergraduate Scholarships:
Amount: $2,500 – $5,000

Description: The American Meteorological Society is pleased to announce the AMS Freshman Undergraduate Scholarship program, open to all high school students and designed to encourage study in the atmospheric and related sciences. The Society encourages applications from women, minorities, and disabled students, traditionally underrepresented in the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status. Applicants must be entering their freshman year of college in the Fall of 2025 and plan to pursue a degree in the atmospheric or related oceanic or hydrologic sciences. Marine biology does not meet this requirement. The second-year funding is dependent on successful completion of the first year. An official high school transcript showing grades from the past three years and a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, guidance counselor, or personal reference must be submitted. The Antenore C. “Butch” Davanzo Scholarship:
Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: March 14, 2026
Description: The Antenore C. “Butch” Davanzo Scholarship was developed to help college-bound students, who are interested in pursuing a career in treatment or some other aspect of the water environment field, fund their 1st year of post-high school education. Students must be a senior at a Michigan-based high school or home school program. A resume showing full and part-time employment, education history and extra-curricular activities, for at least the past five years is required. One letter of recommendation from the student’s academic advisor, or other appropriate official, attesting to their interests and other aspects of their application must also be submitted. The paper, resume, and letter of recommendation must be submitted with a cover letter itemizing the enclosures. Pacific Gas and Electric Company Better Together STEM Scholarship:
Amount: $2,500 – $10,000

Description: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) Foundation is offering Better Together STEM Scholarships of $2,500, $5,000 or $10,000. Awards may be received for a maximum of five years. These scholarships are for students pursuing science, technology or engineering studies. Students must be PG&E customers at the time of application. Applicants must be a high school senior or graduate, have received GED certification or be an undergraduate or post-secondary undergraduate student at any accredited college or university or a Historical Black College or University (HBCU) for the entire upcoming academic year. Veterans and adults returning to school are encouraged to apply. Eligible majors include: Engineering (electrical, mechanical, industrial, environmental, power and/or energy), Computer Science or Information Systems, Cyber Security, Environmental Sciences, Math, and Physics. Preference will be given to members of underrepresented STEM minority groups (Women, Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian or Alaskan Native, People with Disabilities.) If you are providing SAT or ACT test scores, and those scores are not listed on your high school transcript, you will need to upload a copy of your test score report(s) separately. Dolphin Scholarships:
Amount: $1,000 – $5,000

Description: Dolphin Scholarship Foundation grants are available, on a competitive basis, to high school or college children and spouses of members or former members of the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, or those who have served in submarine support activities. The sponsor must have served a minimum of 6 years total Submarine military service or 8 years in assignments in support of the Submarine Force. e.g. Submarine groups or squadrons, training and maintenance facilities, Submarine Tenders etc. For applicants who are children of the sponsor, they must be a high school senior or be currently enrolled as a student in a college or an accredited vocational or technical institute; be unmarried and under the age of 24 at the time of the application deadline; and intend to or be enrolled as a full-time student working toward their first Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or be working toward a vocational or technical certification at an accredited institute. Scholars attending any Military Service Academy are not eligible for the Dolphin Scholarship. For applicants who are a spouse of the sponsor, they must intend to or be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student with a minimum of 12 credit hours per year in order to receive their first Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree at a two or four year accredited university, or college or be working toward a vocational or technical certification at an accredited institute. The George N. Boulukos EOCS Scholarship:
Amount: $1,000

Description: The George N. Boulukos EOCS Scholarship will be awarded to young people who demonstrate love of God and their Orthodox Christian faith, as shown by their involvement and achievements in church, scouting, school, and community, as well as in a short, written statement. Applicants must be a senior in an accredited high school. Homeschooled students should contact the Scholarship Committee Chair for guidance. Scholarships are contingent upon acceptance to an accredited four-year college or university. Applicants must also be an active, registered member of an EOCS-recognized scouting organization: Scouting America (Scouts BSA, Exploring, Venturing, Sea Scouts), Girl Scouts of the USA, Trail Life USA, American Heritage Girls, and Camp Fire. Applicants must have earned the Eagle Scout or Gold Award, or the highest award of another EOCS-recognized scouting organization. Explorers must also have earned the Eagle Scout Award. Applicants must be a communicant member of an Eastern Orthodox Christian Church recognized by the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the USA. Applicants must also have earned the EOCS Alpha Omega Religious Award. Applicants may ask their priest, scouting leader, guidance counselor, and a community reference for recommendation letters. CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship:

Description: The CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship was established in honor of the late Curtis Mayfield to ensure that African American or Black students pursuing a degree in the performing arts receive financial assistance. Performing arts include theater, drama, comedy, music, dance, opera, marching bands, and other musical ensembles. Applicants must be preparing to pursue, or currently pursuing, an undergraduate, graduate or doctoral degree. Current high school seniors are also eligible to apply. They must also exhibit leadership and be active in the community. Applicants must submit a video personal statement and video of their sample performance. Description: The purpose of the UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship is to help those in the epilepsy community achieve their goals. Outstanding accomplishments deserve recognition. UCB is awarding academic scholarships to people living with epilepsy, their family members, and caregivers. In 2025, UCB will award scholarships to people living with epilepsy, their family members, and caregivers who are pursuing higher education. Applicants must demonstrate academic and personal achievement. Students graduating from high school in 2025 or have already graduated from high school are eligible to apply. Three letters of recommendation are required. Applicants pursuing degrees in the arts are welcome to include an artistic presentation. This is an optional item. National Press Club Scholarship for Journalism Diversity Honoring Julie School:
Amount: $5,000 – $20,000

Description: The Scholarship for Journalism Diversity Honoring Julie Schoo aims to recruit promising future journalists who will bring diversity to American journalism. The award can be renewed up to three years, for a total of $20,000 toward educational expenses. Description: The Richard G. Zimmerman Scholarship is named for a long-time National Press Club member who died in 2008 and endowed a scholarship in aid of high school seniors who wish to pursue a career in journalism. Applicants must be in the process of applying for admission to an accredited college or university in the U.S. Students do not need to be a U.S. citizen to apply for this scholarship. Pilot International Scholarship:

Description: The Pilot International Scholarship was established in 1988 to provide financial assistance to undergraduate students preparing for a career working with youth and young adults in leadership and development, helping people and encouraging brain safety and health, or caring for families during times of need. Applicants may be graduating high school seniors and undergraduate students. Awards are based on community service, financial need, academic success, and application contents. A student may re-apply and be granted the Pilot International Scholarship for no more than three additional years. Two letters of recommendation dated within 12 months from teachers, professors, faculty advisors or employers must be submitted. Sara Thompson Magical Mermaid Scholarship:

Description: The Sara Thompson Magical Mermaid Scholarship is given in honor of Sara Thompson, a fabulous high femme, a warrior for the community, and a fierce friend. Sara believed in the power of all people to create opportunities from difficulties and often lent her strength to those who needed it most. To continue her legacy, this scholarship is intended to lend strength through monetary support to LGBTQ+ community members of all ages, whether in school or not, to support their ongoing efforts to create positive change in their own lives or the lives of others. Applicants must currently attend a Colorado high school, or must be enrolled or admitted to a Colorado institution for higher education, or must have lived in Colorado for at least two years. The Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation Scholarship Program:
Amount: $5,000 – $10,000

Description: The Mitte Foundation has established the Roy F. and Joann Cole Mitte Foundation Scholarship Program to assist local high school seniors who plan to continue their education in two- or four-year colleges or universities in the state of Texas. Applicants must be high school seniors graduating Spring 2025. They must graduate from a high school located in one of the following Texas counties: Bastrop Bell County; Bartlett ISD only; Blanco; Burnet; Comal; Caldwell; Fayette; Gillespie; Gonzales; Guadalupe; Hays; Kendall; Lee; Llano; Milam; Travis; and Williamson. Home-school students residing in the designated counties are eligible to apply. Students who are related to an employee or board member of the Mitte Foundation are not eligible. The awards granted will be $10,000 each for students enrolled in four-year colleges and $5,000 each for students enrolled in two-year colleges. Scholarship awards are renewable for up to three years if attending a four-year school or up to one year if attending a two-year school. Public School students will need to submit their complete transcript of grades, Transcript Information Form completed by the appropriate school official, and copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040. Private and Charter School students will need to submit their complete transcript of grades, notarized Curriculum Form, and copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040. Home School students will need to submit their complete transcript of grades, notarized Transcript Verification Form, notarized Curriculum Form, and copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040. Description: The Regional Scholarship is the general award of the Connecticut Community Foundation.
