Elks National Foundation Legacy Awards:

Description: For the 2025 contest, any child or grandchild (or step-child, step-grandchild, or legal ward) of a living Elk who joined the order on or before April 1, 2022, or a charter member of a Lodge that was instituted on or after April 1, 2022, is eligible to apply. The Elk must also be a paid-up member through March 31, 2025. Great-grandchildren are not eligible. The applicant must be a high school senior. If the applicant’s parent and grandparent are both Elk members, the applicant must apply through the parent’s Elks Lodge. Legacy Awards may only be applied to accredited US American schools, colleges, or universities. Northwestern Mutual Childhood Cancer Survivor Scholarship:

Description: Northwestern Mutual Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist pediatric cancer survivors, age 25 and under, who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Applicants must have been diagnosed by a physician as having had treatment for and survived cancer, or in current treatment. Applicants must upload a Medical Verification Form (MVF) completed and signed by a physician. Applicants must be high school seniors, high school graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduates who plan to enroll in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year. Awards are renewable up to one year or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever occurs first. Description: The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium Undergraduate Scholarship Program will be awarded to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing STEM-related studies supporting NASA Mission Directorates. Description: The Joshua Tyree Williams Memorial Scholarship was established by Big Brothers Big Sisters in memory of Joshua Tyree Williams, who was a participant in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, as well as being active in various community events. Description: The Karolyn Kolb Martinez Excellence in Nursing” Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Karolyn Kolb Martinez, a registered nurse for 32 years. Description: The Mary Lou Berry Scholarship was established in memory of Mary Lou Berry, who had a 60 year career as a nurse. She encouraged students in Nueces Canyon ISD to stay in school and always stressed the importance of a college education. Her legacy is to help Nueces Canyon HS students achieve their dreams of a higher education. Applicants must be a current graduating student from Nueces Canyon High School. Applicants must submit two letters of recommendation from academic instructors. The Mary Lou Berry Memorial Scholarship is a two-year scholarship. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and must submit a copy of an official college transcript of their grades after the first academic year in order to receive funds for the second year. Applicants must have participated in community service throughout high school and must plan on continuing to participate in community service during college. American Legion Department of Tennessee High School Oratorical Contest:

Description: The purpose of The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program “A Constitutional Speech Contest” is to develop a deeper knowledge and appreciation of the Constitution of the United States among high school students. Other objectives of the contest include the development of leadership qualities, the ability to think and speak clearly and intelligently, and the preparation for acceptance of the duties and responsibilities, rights, and privileges of American citizenship. Scholarships are awarded by the American Legion of Tennessee and in cooperation with the National American Legion organization. Winners may use their scholarship to attend any accredited college or university, junior colleges or vocational trade school within the United States following graduation from high school, unless by service in the Armed Forces, and granted an extension of eligibility. Description: The Bernard Kilgore Memorial Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are graduating this year from a New Jersey school. The winner of the Kilgore Scholarship also is named the NJ High School Journalist of the Year. Applicants must plan to study journalism or media studies in college and to pursue a career in the media and must have participated in high school journalism for at least two years. Applicants are nominated by teachers at schools that are members of the Garden State Scholastic Press Association. Editors of newspapers that are members of the New Jersey Press Association also may nominate students. If the scholarship recipient attends a high school that doesn’t employ a GSSPA member, the New Jersey Press Foundation will pay the $15 membership fee for that school for the year the scholarship is awarded. Description: California table grape growers are offering scholarships to field workers and their children to attend four-year universities or colleges in California. There are two categories of scholarships. The first, called the Bridge Scholarship, is a $14,500 scholarship for students who will attend two years at a community college and transfer to a four-year university. The second is a $25,000 scholarship for students who will attend a four-year university. Three scholarships of each category are available. Applicants must be a parent, or legal guardian who must have been employed as a field worker in a California table grape vineyard during the 2024 harvest season or plan to be employed during the 2025 season. Description: FES offers several scholarship programs for high school students interested in pursuing careers in engineering.
