Jeff Selingo is a New York Times bestselling author, producer of the higher ed newsletter Next and co-host of the podcast “Future U.” Here is his latest rave on an EdTech innovation:
As artificial intelligence platforms compete for attention, some universities are building their own. According to the higher ed nonprofit EDUCAUSE, 37% of institutions provide schoolwide chatbot licenses, while 14% have homegrown tools. The University of Michigan was the first to deploy AI at scale with U-M GPT, a platform that gives the campus community secure access to leading large language models. It has since expanded with Maizey, a no-code tool for creating custom AI applications using institutional data, and Go Blue, a mobile app that helps students navigate campus life.
