Who Can Apply:
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be a US citizen, US National or permanent resident.
- Must have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Have a demonstrated, unmet financial need as verified by their college or university.
- Reside or be a permanent resident of the State of Rhode Island.
- Be a graduating high school senior who will be attending any UNCF member institution or other HBCU as a freshman for the 2026-2027 school year.
Submission:
- 1-3 recent examples of each of the following: Leadership, Honors & Awards, and Community Service
- A current academic unofficial or official transcript
- A 1-page Essay / Personal statement of career interest that answers the following prompt:
“Describe a defining moment in your life that led you to pursue your current career choice.”
Deadline: June 30, 2026
