Who Can Apply:
- Jack Saunders was a beloved son, brother and friend who sadly passed away on November 7th, 2025, in a motorcycle accident that cut his young life short.
- At the time of his passing, Jack was a first-year law school student at the University of Richmond. He was a bright, funny, caring soul who had embarked on his legal education in order to help people and create positive changes. He was passionate about people and is remembered for the impact he had on his community, friends, and family.
- This scholarship seeks to honor the life and memory of Jack Saunders by supporting pre-law and post-graduate students who share Jack’s desire to use the law to make a difference. It was designed for “splitters,” those who have average grades but high LSAT scores, to help fill in the cost-of-attendance gap.
- Any bachelor’s senior, bachelor’s graduate, or first-year law school student may apply for this scholarship if they have volunteering experience and if they have a desire to use the law to make the world a better place.
Submission: To apply, tell us about the biggest challenge you’ve faced and how you ultimately succeeded. Additionally, upload a picture of you and your favorite pet, and upload a letter of recommendation from someone who isn’t a friend or family member.
