Waterbury, Conn. – May 6, 2026 – Post University is proud to honor the achievements of the Class of 2026 at its 136th commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 9.
Post will host two in-person ceremonies: one at 10 a.m., recognizing main campus undergraduate and graduate students and a second at 3 p.m., celebrating online undergraduate students. About 1,000 students from across Connecticut and the country are expected to attend with their loved ones at The Palace Theater in Waterbury.
“Commencement is a tremendous moment to celebrate the dedication, hard work and achievements of our graduates,” said Post Senior Vice President Scott Allen. “We are especially proud to welcome students who have traveled from across the country to mark this milestone together on campus.”
Post University will confer 3,808 degrees for the 2025–26 academic year, including:
- · Associate degrees: 825
- · Bachelor’s degrees: 2,097
- · Graduate degrees: 211
- · MBA degrees: 249
- · Nursing degrees (BSN & master’s): 1,248
- · Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP): 63
Of the graduates, 654 are Connecticut residents; 3,070 are from out-of-state; 56 are international students; 714 are military-affiliated; and 39 are High School Academy students. The youngest graduate is 17 and the oldest is 86.
Post will also celebrate two valedictorians during the ceremonies: Anastasia Dedgjonaj, who will receive her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, and Ellen Kolling, who is receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
