In an increasingly complex world, children and young people need a breadth of skills to navigate evolving challenges and participate in changing societies. The Network for Education Systems Transformation (NEST) is a global network, co-led by civil society organizations from the Global South, working to understand and catalyze education systems transformation so all learners can develop this breadth of skills. Through co-created and contextually rooted evidence, resources, and tools, NEST strengthens collaboration and builds capacity, commitment, and cohesion among education ecosystem actors.
On June 11, the Center for Universal Education at Brookings will host a conversation on the evolution of NEST as a collaborative research-action network. NEST members will reflect on their journey from 2023 until today, sharing frameworks, practices, and lessons that brought together 10 organizations around a shared mission of transforming education systems. The conversation will highlight practical insights into what it takes to build and sustain a mission-driven network.
